Healing from Childhood Wounds Takes Time - and That’s Okay

Image
Some wounds do not bleed — they resonate. And the ones from childhood? They stay longer because they penetrated so deep when you were learning who you were. Maybe you were told to "man up," or "stop crying?" Maybe no one heard you when you were hurting. Or maybe someone hurt you in ways you cannot even comprehend. Whatever your backstory is - just remember this: You did not deserve it, and you were not at fault. Healing this type of pain is not linear. You may feel okay one day, then broken the next. But even in the light and darkness, you are healing. 🛠 Healing Tools that Help:  • Write letters to your younger self. • Journal out your memories. • Seek therapy if you can. • Provide yourself what you were denied: patience, safety, and unconditional kindness. You are not the wound, but the healing.
